About My Project & Me

“There are some sorts of industry, even of the lowest kind,
which can be carried on nowhere but in a great town”
Adam Smith ( 1776 )

“Could it be possible, that one of the highest industries,
could be better carried in a provincial town?”
Author ( 2008 )

My Project

My current research deals with entrepreneurial dynamics and local/regional development. The study is part of a project that aims to develop the municipality of Frederikshavn (North Denmark) from diverse fronts. I  attempts to use an economic geography approach. An important issue in the research is to look at the “experience economy”, a term originated from business literature and now currently used for urban planners. I look at the entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, and the networks they are involved in. The project seeks to find useful current policy making, which could potentially advice a city like Frederikshavn.
